Broad Building Estimate
An Effective Solution to provide a super quick broad level probable cost range for your project at any stage from first concept to detailed design.
1 . Using an Australian Residential industry calculator we provide a broad based report based on your project taking into consideration all broad based factors which will affect the cost to provide a opinion of probably cost for your project. This will include a range providing 3 probable costs of – Low, Mid & High.
2 . This can be completed at a range of different times in the project development cycle including from the very beginning when there are no drawings all the way to the when the drawings are fully complete.
3 . It can also be used as a very quick method of providing the estimated costs of work for DA Submissions and we are more than happy to assist if this is what you require for your project.
4 . Price Starts From $200 + GST with the price being dependent on the level of inspection, preparation & consultation required in order to complete the estimate
5 . Turnaround time to complete ranges from 2 – 15 business days again depending on inspection, preparation & consultation required in order to complete the estimate
Quick Buidling Estimate (QBE)
An effective Solution to Quickly provide a accurate cost estimate range for your project based off your design drawings.
1 . A Quick Building Estimate is formulated by breaking the project down into main elements and then measuring those elements. A probable m2 rate is then applied to come up with the probable cost for each of those elements. Other required allowances are also considered with an appropriate probable allowance applied. This is then all add together to provide a probable cost range plus and minus 5-10%
2 . QBE’s at a minimum require base range architectural drawings to be completed including site plans, floor plans & elevations
3 . Prices are:
- Standard Residential $500 + GST
- High End Architectural $660 + GST
- Any Other – Subject to a Quoted Price
4 . Turnaround Time to complete ranges from 5-15 Business Days
Full Project Quote
A full quote for your project which can be used as the contract price for your project should you which to proceed
1 . Full project quotes are as described – A full quote for your project which can be used as the contract price for your project should you which to proceed. Typically at a minimum they to complete to the high level of detail and accuracy required they take approximately 40 hours of estimating work.
Pricing for Full Project quotes is:
- Min $1000 + GST
- Up to $1.5 million 0.35% of Quote Value
- Over $1.5 million as per above plus 0.1% of project value over $1.5 million
2 . Ideally all project documentation is complete and available to complete the full project quote however at a minimum for we require – architectural drawings, structural engineering and the BASIX report
3 . Turnaround time typically ranges from 15 – 25 business days.
Why we charge for Quotes?
Our team at JHT BUILT. Puts the highest level of quality and attention into everything we do which includes our quotes. We understand that there are other builders that provide free quotes however this is generally due to broad square meter rates being used to come up with the quoted price instead of putting in the work in to create a detailed bill of quantities including the sourcing pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
Free quotes are also all too often not complete to the level required to be suitable for a contract, meaning they are subject to adjustment and change making the free quote not worth the paper it is written on. In order to provide the high level of detail required for your quote we need to charge for quotes which include your personalised consultation with JHT BUILT.
